160m Loaded Vertical Antenna

This 160m antenna is made for small lots, and is a coil loaded 1/4 wave vertical measuring in at ~58ft long.  

It uses a 4"dia loading coil halfway up the antenna length and an integral common mode current choke at the feed point.  

Antenna wire is 18ga Davis Polystealth insulated wire for long term durability and strength.  

The coil, enclosure, and end insulator are 3d Printed out of the same PA6 Nylon/Glass Fiber material that is used on our other antennas.  It is a strong, high quality filament that'll stand up for years outside.  

Feed point is fed with coax, with 4x Mix 75 ferrites and RG-142 coax for -30dB choking of common mode currents to help keep RFI out of  your shack and radios.  Mounting is from 4x screw tabs or 2x 1/4-20 threaded inserts.  There is an integral vent in the bottom of the enclosure. 

The SWR should be below 2:1 at the resonance point, with a wide range tuner you should be able to tune most or all of the 160m band.

Power rating of 500w PEP which should be a conservative rating.  

Resonance point is adjustable with lengthening or shortening the length of the antenna at the end.
